TD Banknorth Mini 1 on 1

This season marked the return of Mini 1 on 1 to television. Thanks to TD Banknorth, 96 future hockey stars, representing youth hockey teams in Massachusetts and New Hampshire, took to the Garden ice to compete for the coveted Mini 1 on 1 trophy. This year, Boys 8 and under mites, Girls 8 and under mites, Boys 10 and under squirts and Girls 10 and under squirts competed in their respective divisions. The results were aired on both NESN during Bruins telecasts and on the Garden HDX Scoreboard at Bruins home games.

The winners were treated to an unforgettable evening here at the Garden for the last Bruins game of the season on April 5th courtesy of TD Banknorth. The winners watched the game from The Garden View (a new function space at the Garden) and had an opportunity to meet current Bruins players.

Mini 1 on 1 will be back next season -- bigger and better! Preliminary competitions have already taken place at regional districts in Massachusetts, New Hampshire, Rhode Island and Maine. Details concerning the finals for the 2008-09 season here at the TD Banknorth Garden will be announced shortly.
