2013-14: Played his first full NHL season with career season-highs in games, assists and points ... Had one multiple-point game, a two-assist effort on Nov. 15 at Ottawa which was a career-high for assists and points in a game ... Was a +4 on Mar. 2 vs. NY Rangers ... Did not dress (coach's decision) for 18 games ... Had one assist in eight post-season games, recorded May 10 in game five vs. Montreal.

2012-13: Spent most of the season in Providence/AHL where he had 3-21=24 totals with 56 PIM in 56 games with the AHL Bruins ... Recalled to Boston from Mar. 23-Apr. 26, playing 11 games with two assists before returning to Providence on Apr. 26 ... Recorded his first NHL point with an assist on Mar. 31 at Buffalo ... Did not dress (coach's decision) for six games ... Recalled again on May 9 and had 1-1=2 totals in seven post-season games ... Played his first NHL playoff game on May 10, 2013 vs. Toronto ... 2011-12: Began the season in Boston, playing three scoreless games before his Oct. 20 assignment to Providence/AHL ... Spent the remainder of the year with the AHL Bruins with 3-19=22 totals in 50 games.

2010-11: Spent most of the season in Providence where he led club defensemen in scoring with 5-18=23 totals and 42 PIM in 69 AHL Bruins games ... Was recalled to Boston on three occasions - from Jan. 9-11 (0-0=0 totals in one game; did not dress for one game); Jan. 14-16 (0-0=0 totals in one game); and Mar. 4-12 (0-0=0 totals in four games) ... Played his first NHL game on Jan. 10 at Pittsburgh and his first three NHL games were played vs. his hometown Penguins before he played his fourth game in Montreal ... Was named Providence's Best Defenseman as voted by his teammates in their end of season awards ... Was recalled again to Boston for the playoff run, but did not play a post-season game.

COLLEGE: Played two seasons of college hockey at Ohio State University with 11-27=38 totals and 145 penalty minutes in 80 career college games ... Had 5-15=20 totals in 41 games during his freshman season in 2008-09 and was named to the CCHA's All-Rookie Team that season, becoming the first Buckeye defenseman named to the team in ten years ... Was voted the team's Most Valuable Freshman and Best Defensive Player as well.

JUNIORS: Played two seasons in the USHL with the Lincoln Stars with 7-43=50 totals and 230 PIM in 117 regular season games and 1-4=5 totals and 12 PIM in 11 playoff contests ... Earned First Team All-League and All-Star honors in 2007-08.
