About When You Read, You Score!

This summer, the Boston Bruins have joined forces with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners to present a summer reading program to children across the Commonwealth, "When You Read, You Score!"

Throughout the summer, children and their parents are encouraged to sign-up for the program entitled "Starship Adventure Summer Reading Program" on www.readsinma.org. There participants can choose what they want to read, track their progress online and write online book reviews.

A special Bruins reading list will let kids and teens know what books the players are reading themselves, with their families or remember from their own childhood.

Each child who completes the program will receive a Boston Bruins bookmark and certificate with a Bruins sticker.

However, one lucky child who participates in the program will win a Bruins VIP Experience including: Parking, 4 tickets, the opportunity to be bench assistant for one child between ages of 6-12, a between periods Family High Five, a Zamboni ride (must be 12 or older) and a postgame meet and greet at a 2009-10 Boston Bruins home game.
