Bruins Foundation Internship

The intern will be required to take an active role in all Boston Bruins Foundation events during their internship.  In addition, the semester will incidentally offer the chance to observe the daily regimen of a professional sports franchise and make important contacts in the sporting industry. Interns are required to receive college credit for their internship.

  • Assist Boston Bruins Foundation Director of Development and Coordinator with daily activities and responsibilities.
  • Review and respond to donation requests and grant applications.
  • Respond to local charity requests.
  • Assist in organizing and conducting Boston Bruins Foundation events such as the Boston Bruins Golf Tournament, Boston Bruins Academy Events, and the Wives Carnival.
  • Manage Boston Bruins Foundation databases, including those related to events, grants, and donations.
All interns will be required to handle computer applications with emphasis on Microsoft Office programs (i.e., Excel, word, etc.).

Learning Objectives:
Interns will be educated in the following: An understanding of the daily operations of a non-profit organization, along with: computer applications, organizational skills, website maintenance, networking, public relations, marketing, and office managerial skills.

The internships offered by the Boston Bruins Foundation are non-compensated.  Interns are required to provide sufficient documentation to demonstrate that they will earn college credit upon completion of their internship.

Interns are required to find their own transportation to and from work. The TD Garden is conveniently located on Causeway Street near Boston's North End and is easily accessible by car, train or bus. Please note that interns are responsible for paying their own parking expenses, roughly $10 to $26 depending on the day.
