Training Staff
Brant Berglund enters his sixth season with the organization as the team's Video Analyst. He graduated from Boston University in 2001 with a degree in communications. While a student at Boston University, he worked with the Terriers' nationally-ranked hockey program as a team manager and later as a video coordinator. He also worked with USA Hockey at the 2007 World Championships in Moscow as that team's Video Coach. Berglund and his wife Elizabeth reside in Wilmington. Their daughter, Elsa, was born this past July.
John Whitesides enters his eighth season as the team's Strength and Conditioning Coach. He came to the Bruins following four years as the assistant strength and conditioning coach for Boston College, where he worked with 17 of their sports teams, but primarily with the men's hockey and football programs and the women's basketball program. He was with the Eagles when they won the 2001 NCAA men's national hockey championship. He is a double graduate of the University of Maine, earning his Bachelor's degree in Health and Physical Education in 1995 and his Master's degree in Exercise Physiology in 1997. Whitesides and his wife Virginia reside in Framingham.
Don DelNegro enters his 16th season as the team's Athletic Trainer. Prior to joining the Bruins, he served for five years as the Director of Sports Medicine at Williams College in Williamstown, MA. He has also served as the head athletic trainer for the U.S. Olympic Bobsled and Luge teams at the 1992 Olympic Games in Albertville, France; for Team USA at the 2000, 2005 and 2007 World Hockey Championships and as head trainer for the U.S. men's hockey team at the 2006 Olympic Games in Turin, Italy. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Athletic Training from Westfield State College and a Master of Science degree in the same field from Indiana State University. DelNegro and his wife Claire reside in Lynnfield with their daughter, Renee.
Scott Waugh enters his 11th season as the team's Physical Therapist, a position he also held with the club during the 1992-93 season. A 1990 graduate of the University of Lowell with a degree in physical therapy, he has worked for Boston College, with the NFL's Atlanta Falcons, various sports medicine clinics and the 1991 USA Hockey Olympic training camp. In addition to his duties with the Bruins, he is also Director of Rehabilitation for the Boston Red Sox and is a co-owner of the Sports and Physical Therapy Associates clinics in Brookline and Wellesley. Waugh and his wife Kim reside in Hanover with their daughter Caitlin and son Andrew.
Derek Repucci enters his third season with the Bruins as the team's Assistant Athletic Trainer and Massage Therapist. He is a double graduate of Springfield College, holding a Bachelor's degree in athletic training and a Master's degree in exercise science and sports studies. He was certified in massage therapy by the New Hampshire Institute of Therapeutic Arts. Prior to joining the Bruins, he served as assistant athletic trainer and massage therapist at Duke University, where he also owned and operated an on-campus massage clinic in conjunction with the campus health center and the department of athletics. He has also worked for minor league teams in both baseball and hockey. Repucci is single and resides in Wilmington.
Mark Dumas enters his third season as the team's Equipment Manager. He began his career as an equipment manager in the North American Hockey League in 1980. After five seasons in the NAHL, he moved to the AHL's Binghamton Whalers for the 1985-86 season. Binghamton changed their NHL affiliation in 1990 to become the AHL farm club of the New York Rangers and Dumas remained with the Binghamton club for another seven seasons. When the Rangers switched their AHL affiliation to Hartford in 1997-98, he moved with the team and served in the same capacity with the Wolfpack for one season. Prior to coming to Boston, the native of Utica, NY spent seven seasons as the head equipment manager for the Wilkes-Barre/Scranton Penguins of the AHL. Dumas and his wife Betty have two sons, Mark and Matthew. Mark is in his first season on the Bruins' equipment staff.
Keith Robinson enters his 21st season with the Bruins, his 16th as an Assistant Equipment Manager. He began with the team in 1988-89 as a locker room assistant for five seasons before assuming his current position. A native of Tewksbury, MA, he graduated from Tewksbury High School in 1987. Keith and his wife Stephanie reside in Kensington, NH with their sons Kolton and Ty.
