Boston Bruins to Host Local Summer Reading Events at Local Libraries
BOSTON, MA – The Boston Bruins will partner with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners (MBLC) and the Massachusetts Library System for the sixth year to host Summer Reading programs across Massachusetts. Bruins Mascot Blades and members of the Bruins Ice Girls team will be visiting libraries in the Boston community in an effort to encourage children and teens to keep reading over the summer. During the visits children will get to meet Blades, participate in Bruins craft activities and play Bruins trivia. Summer Reading participants will also have a chance to win Bruins trivia prizes such as at-game experiences like riding the Zamboni, high-fiving the players as they take the ice or getting to sit on the Bruins bench during pre-game warm-ups.
