BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, April 11, that the club has signed forward Brian Ferlin to an entry-level contract.

Ferlin skated in 32 games for Cornell University this season, and led the team in goals (13) and points (27), while his 14 assists were tied for fourth on the team. In total, Ferlin appeared in 92 collegiate games in three years at Cornell (2011-14) where the 21-year-old racked up 31 goals and 41 assists for 72 points with a plus-25 rating.

Prior to joining Cornell, the winger skated for two seasons (2009-11) with the Indiana Ice in the USHL. In 2011 Ferlin was second on the team in assists (48), third in points (73) and fourth in goals (25) and plus/minus rating (+26). With the Ice, Ferlin appeared in a total of 112 USHL games, notching 31 goals and 58 assists for 89 points.

Ferlin played in 13 total USHL playoff games with the Ice, accruing 2-6=8 totals with six penalty minutes.

Boston drafted the 6’2’’, 209-pound native of Jacksonville, FL in the fourth round (121st overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft.
