Boston Bruins Recall Kevan Miller on an Emergency Basis

Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today, December 2, that the team has recalled defenseman Kevan Miller from the Providence Bruins on an emergency basis (American Hockey League).

Miller has skated in 15 games with the Providence Bruins this season and has registered one goal and two assists with 35 penalty minutes.  The blueliner has played the last three seasons (2010-2013) with the Providence Bruins, skating in 150 games, notching six goals and 37 assists.

Miller skated in three games with Boston earlier this season after earning his first career NHL recall on November 20, making his NHL debut on November 21 against the St. Louis Blues at TD Garden.

Prior to joining the P-Bruins in 2010, Miller played at the University of Vermont for four seasons from 2007-2010.  In his collegiate career, Miller appeared in 144 games for the Catamounts and amassed 5-25=30 totals with 97 penalty minutes.

The 6’2’’, 210-pound native of Los Angeles, California was signed by Boston as a free agent on October 21, 2011.
