Griffith has skated in 54 games this year with the London Knights (Ontario Hockey League) and has registered 33 goals and 48 assists with a +18 rating.  The 20-year-old forward’s 81 points rank second on the London Knights, which is good for 10th in the OHL.  Griffith’s 48 assists also rank 10th in the OHL (tied for first on the Knights) with his 33 goals ranking 12th (tied for second for the Knights). At the conclusion of the 2013 OHL regular season, Griffith was honored with the Jim Mahon Memorial Trophy, which is awarded to the OHL’s top scoring right wing, for his 81 points (33-48=81).

STATS YOU MAY FIND INTERESTING…

HOT HANDS: Bruins forward Gregory Campbell will come into Saturday riding a three-game point streak, tallying two goals (both coming on April 10 vs. NJD) and three assists for five points during that span. Jaromir Jagr has continued to produce with since joining the Bruins and extended his point streak to three games with five assists during that stretch, giving him 1-5=6 totals in four of his five games in a Boston Bruins sweater. Tyler Seguin notched the Bruins lone goal against the New York Islanders on April 11, giving him goals in two straight games with 4-2=6 totals in his last nine games.

THE JAGR EFFECT: Since Jaromir Jagr joined the Boston Bruins on April 2, the B's have registered power play goals in 25-percent of their chances (2/8). Tyler Seguin’s power play goal Thursday night against the Islanders, assisted by Jaromir Jagr and Gregory Campbell, marked the first time the Bruins had notched power play goals in consecutive games since February 15 in Buffalo against the Sabres, and February 17 at Winnipeg versus the Jets.

CLINCHING SCENARIOS: If the playoffs started today, the Bruins, sitting in the four seed, would open up the first round against the Toronto Maple Leafs, who are currently seeded fifth. If the Bruins jumped the Montreal Canadiens to take two seed (first in the Northeast Division), the B’s would open up against the New York Islanders in the opening round as they currently sit in the seven seed. Theoretically, if Bruins ended up in the three seed with the playoffs commencing today, Ottawa would be their first round opponent, who currently sit sixth in the Eastern Conference standings. If the Bruins were to catch and surpass the Pittsburgh Penguins for the one seed, and the playoffs began tomorrow, the B’s would take on the New York Rangers in the preliminary Stanley Cup Playoffs round, as they currently seeded eighth.

UPCOMING GAMES…

UPCOMING GAMES: The Bruins will play three of four games this week at home, and will be start off on Saturday, April 13 with a road game against the Carolina Hurricanes at PNC Arena at 7:00 p.m. The B’s will then return home for this week’s three consecutive home games at the TD Garden. The first will be played on Monday, April 15 at 7:00 p.m. against the Ottawa Senators. On Wednesday, April 17, the Black and Gold will drop the puck at 7:30 p.m. to take on their Northeast Division foe, Buffalo Sabres. The Bruins will finish the week on Friday, April 19 with a 7:00 p.m. matchup versus Jarome Iginla and the Pittsburgh Penguins.

BROADCAST SCHEDULE: Jack Edwards, Andy Brickley and Naoko Funayama will cover all of this week’s games on NESN, with the exception of Wednesday’s game against the Sabres, which will be nationally broadcast on NBC Sports Network as well as TSN2. Friday’s matchup against the Penguins will also be covered on RDS, NHL Network and TSN2 (HD). The tandem of Dave Goucher and Bob Beers will handle all radio duties on 98.5 The Sports Hub. Start times for the upcoming games are as follows:

4/13 at Carolina Hurricanes, 7:00 p.m. ET – NESN
4/15 vs. Ottawa Senators, 7:00 p.m. ET – NESN
4/17 vs. Buffalo Sabres, 7:30 p.m. ET – NBC Sports Network, TSN2
4/19 vs. Pittsburgh Penguins, 7:00 p.m. ET – NESN, RDS, NHL Network, TSN2 (HD)

BRUINS THIRD JERSEY SCHEDULE: The Bruins will suit up in their third jerseys for one final game this season at the TD Garden against the Pittsburgh Penguins on Friday, April 19.

148 AND COUNTING: Following Thursday’s home game at the TD Garden, the Bruins have sold out their last 148 home games, including regular season and playoffs. This sellout streak began more than three years ago on December 5, 2009 against the Toronto Maple Leafs. The last game the Bruins did not have 17,565 in attendance at the Garden was on Wednesday, December 2, 2009 when they hosted the Tampa Bay Lightning (16,553).
