PITTSBURGH, PA - Prior to tonight's match-up with the Penguins, Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien spoke to media around 6:20 p.m. outside the B's locker room at the CONSOL Energy Center.

When asked if there was an update on Chris Kelly, Coach said, "No news. He's here with us. There's some swelling, obviously, so it's hard to say where he's at right now. We'll probably be able to give an update in the next day or so, once he gets home and the swelling goes down. Probably, will be a little clearer then."

Coach said that Rich Peverley would be in the center spot on the third line, with Jay Pandolfo on the left wing and Jordan Caron on the right. Peverley is a natural center and Caron has played for many years on the right.

"He's played center most of his career, so we're going to put him back there and that's the beauty of having guys that can play those positions," said Coach on Peverley as a centerman tonight. " And Tyler's another guy. We've always felt fortunate to have a lot of those centermans for that reason. Here's an opportunity for us to take advantage of it."

"I've always played center before," Peverley told media pregame. "Chris and I switch off a lot too, so it's not like it's that foreign."

Coach Julien also confirmed that Anton Khudobin would start in goal tonight for Boston, in his first career start vs the Penguins. Dobby led the B's out for warm ups for the first time on CONSOL Energy Center ice and will in goal opposite Marc-Andre Fleury.

"When you look at their performance, they're scoring a lot of goals, they scored four goals in their last five or so games," said Coach Julien, of a Penguins team that has won five straight. "We know that, offensively, they're a pretty potent team, so we always say you respect the skill level of that team."

"They've got two of the top three in league scoring, I was just looking at the stats there, I think they have five in the top 26. We have none. Our scoring is spread out, theirs comes from a lot of those high end players. We've got to make sure we respect that part of their game and hopefully, as a team, our concept we'll be able to defend well and take advantage of our chances."

Dennis Seidenberg also echoed his Coach's approach pregame, when he spoked to media outside the Bruins locker room.

"We've got to be crisper than we were yesterday in order to break out of our zone and get speed through the neutral zone to attack," said the defenseman.

While the B's will be looking to use their speed, they'll also be watching out for the Pens' ability to move the puck quirky up-ice.

"They're really fast, they like to dish the puck up to the wall along the boards," said Seidenberg. "Then they've got speed through the middle, that's always tough as a defenseman not to get sucked out too far because they really use their middle drive to their advantage and get a lot of chances off of that."

"We have to be ready defensively, they've got all those high-skilled forwards, so we've got to play really tight and be aware back there."
