Despite being born in Sweden, and playing two years of high school hockey in Minnesota, Bruins prospect Alex Fallstrom is already pretty used to the scene in Boston.

Entering his senior season playing for the Harvard Crimson and former Bruins forward Ted Donato, the 6-foot-2 winger is back in Cambridge for the school year and for his final campaign before he makes the leap to professional hockey.

“I’ve played in three great places. I love Sweden, and I love Minnesota, and I love Boston, and I feel like I’m really fortunate to have the opportunity to hopefully one day to continue to play in this great city,” said Fallstrom. “So I’m really fortunate, and I’m really happy about that.”

Fallstrom will likely be a key piece of the Crimson attack this year, as he tallied 13 goals last season, second most on the team.

“Personally, I want to improve my game, as I’ve said in previous interviews, become more consistent, be a reliable force in every game, and just want to be a player that can be put out on the ice in any situation, and obviously score a lot of goals,” Fallstrom said.

Over the summer, Fallstrom missed the B’s developmental camp due to injury, and spent his time working out and rehabbing to prepare himself for Harvard’s season. Now, however, Fallstrom said he is healthy, and excited to return to the ice.

“It feels great. Throughout my three years here, I feel like there’s always been some kind of nagging injury. I know that’s part of the game. I’ve used this summer to get stronger, doing rehab in order to prevent injury from happening again,” Fallstrom said. “It feels great coming back and being healthy, it’s the greatest feeling in the world.

“I really want to stay healthy so I can stay out there and help my team.”

But more than anything, the senior said he wants to go out on top of the collegiate game.

“It being my last season, and being the rest of the senior’s last season, we want to leave on a good note with a good season behind us,” Fallstrom said.
