Looking Forward to Subban vs. Subban
Let\'s face it, no matter how well they might get along, there\'s always a rivalry between brothers - it\'s no big shock. Put one brother in blue, blanc et rouge and the other in Black & Gold and then put them on ice and, well, you\'ve got a story. Set that story in NHL rinks in Quebec and New England, and you might just have a novel.

PITTSBURGH -- Let's face it, no matter how well they might get along, there's always a rivalry between brothers - it's no big shock.

Malcom Subban is now a Bruin

Put one brother in blue, blanc et rouge and the other in Black & Gold and then put them on ice and, well, you've got a story. Set that story in NHL rinks in Quebec and New England, and you might just have a novel.

Montreal defenseman P.K. Subban has been a player that Boston fans love to hate and now, his brother Malcolm, a goalie drafted in the first round (24th overall) by Boston will try to become a player that Bruins fans love.

But on Friday, while Malcolm waited with bated breath to hear his name called, his brother P.K. sat by his side in the stands at CONSOL Energy Center.

"He just said you've got a lot of work to do," said Malcolm of his brother's advice after the B's selected the netminder. "This is just the beginning - congrats and enjoy it."

Even if the brothers don't enjoy facing off against each other, fans in both cities will certainly enjoy the Cain and Abel sideshow whenever that might occur down the road.

"To be honest I didn't like Montreal that much," admitted the younger Subban. "I'm from Toronto, so I liked Toronto more than Montreal.

"But I just watched the New York Rangers and Pittsburgh," explained Malcolm, who grew up admiring Henrik Lundqvist. "But Boston is a great city and a great town - an Original Six team.

"There's nothing better you can ask for."

Noting his new organization's rivalry with his brother's team, the almost-giddy goaltender said the whole situation was a little surreal.

"The rivalry is just about to begin," joked Malcolm, stifling a laugh. "I don't know if he's going to like me too much.

"But to be honest I never liked him that much."
