Holtby Stumps Bruins Offense
WASHINGTON, DC -- Despite 45 shots on goal, the B's were again unable to find many holes in Capitals goalie Braden Holtby and Washington evened the first round series at two wins apiece with a 2-1 win.

Peverley
"When you shoot 45 shots on net you would expect your team to have a little bit more than one goal," said Boston Bruins Head Coach Claude Julien, postgame. "There’s obviously some areas that we’re not happy with - a lot of them that we are and a few of them that weren’t not.

"And those are the ones that I feel cost us an opportunity tonight."

B's forward Rich Peverley, who was the victim of the Nicklas Backstrom cross check after Game 3 (which cost the Washington forward a chance to play on Thursday) scored the B's lone goal in Game 4.

"Well it was just a quick two-on-one," explained Peverley. "I kind of snuck it through the five-hole, but we lost the game."

Beyond Peverley's tally, and despite the impressive shot totals, Julien felt like there was something missing from his team's attack throughout the proceedings.

Julien's diagnosis was familiar.

"The net front presence has to be better," he said.  "Not just screening, but also finding those loose pucks.

"They’re finding them better than we are."

Peverley agreed.

"Well they blocked a lot of shots," said the wing. "I think we still can get better at our net presence, but you know, they buried their chances.

"We had a few, there was definitely a few that kind of rolled off to the side and we weren’t there to bang them in.

"We’re going to have to do that if we’re gonna win the series."

And to win the series, the B's have to solve Holtby.

"Well, he saw everything tonight, that’s for sure," said Peverley. "I can’t say there’s too many shots that he didn’t see."
