Seguin Searches for Consistency
BostonBruins.com – Boston Bruins forward Tyler Seguin isn’t happy with his start to the 2012 playoffs.

In the first two games of the series with the Washington Capitals, the B’s sharp shooter has been held to just eight shots, without any points.

Before the team departed for Washington Sunday, Seguin addressed how difficult it’s been to create against the Capitals.

“Yeah, it’s been tough,” Seguin said. “Washington’s done a great job and after watching a couple days of video of their team and having two games, I think we know a bit more of what we need to do better and hopefully we can establish that when we head to Washington for [Game 3].”

On a more individual perspective, Seguin was pressed about his own game and the B’s young forward said he hopes for more even play throughout the rest of the series.

“I got to do better I think,” Seguin said. “There are a lot of areas I want to improve on. I think the main ting is being consistent. Playoffs is all about getting out of your comfort zone, whether it’s blocking a shot or hitting a bit more and going to the net more.

“I think for myself, I have shifts where I’m doing it well and then it’s just where I have a turnover I’d like to take back. I think if I can establish being a bit more consistent and having two games out of the way and bring that to Washington.”

But despite the first two tough, overtime games, Seguin said the team’s attitude was in the right place.

“[We’re] pretty determined, I think,” Seguin said. “I don’t like to bring up the past or last year but last year I thought we were a successful team because when we won, we stayed kind of even keeled and when we lost it’d be the same thing – kind of focused and determined and know it’s a seven game series.

“I think that’s the mood right now and we’re all ready to get there.”
