B's Sign Morrison to Entry-level Contract

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has signed Vancouver Giants goaltender Adam Morrison to an entry-level contract (Western Hockey League). Morrison will remain with the Giants through the end of their regular season and playoffs.

The 21-year-old Morrison has played in 56 WHL games split between the Saskatoon Blades and Vancouver Giants this season and compiled a 35-17-3 overall record with a 2.80 Goals Against Average, .900 Save Percentage and one shutout. The 2011-12 season is his fourth in the WHL and he has recorded a 78-38-10 career record with five shutouts.

He spent the first three-plus years of his WHL career with Saskatoon before being traded to Vancouver on October 4, 2011 for forward Michael Burns. 

The 6’3’’, 194-pound native of White Rock, British Columbia was originally drafted by the Philadelphia Flyers in the third round (81st overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
