BOSTON, MA – On Thursday, March 1 the Boston Bruins and Mass. State Lottery will hold the fifth “Mass. Lottery On-Ice Challenge” in the 2010 Boston Bruins Instant Ticket during the second intermission of the Bruins/Devils game.
William Santos of Tewksbury MA will choose one of 30 oversized Mass. Lottery tickets, which will be placed on the ice. Each ticket will be numbered 1-30, beneath 29 of the tickets will be $100,000 prizes and under one lucky ticket will be a $250,000 grand prize. Santos will be joined on the ice by Bruins President Cam Neely and Mass. Lottery Executive Director Paul Sternburg.
Santos was randomly selected to take part in the Challenge after he entered a non-winning 2010 Boston Bruins Instant Ticket into the Mass. Lottery’s Second Chance Bonus Drawing. The drawing, which took place on January 6, 2012, was the fifth and final drawing in the 2010 Boston Bruins Instant Ticket which sold out last fall. The $5 ticket offered fans a chance to instantly win up to $250,000, and five opportunities to partake in an “On Ice Challenge” to win up to $250,000, as well as thousands of other exciting Bruins prizes including VIP game experiences and team gear.
While the 2010 game is sold out, the Mass. Lottery’s $5 2011 Boston Bruins Stanley Cup Champions Instant Ticket is available at retailers throughout the state. Last year, the Lottery generated over $898 million in net profit that was returned to the Commonwealth for distribution to cities and towns.
The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
