Marchand, Peverley Eager to Return
BostonBruins.com – Brad Marchand and Rich Peverley both know how each other feels – it's simply downright tough to watch your team play and not be able to contribute.

But against the New Jersey Devils tonight, Marchand returns from his five-game suspension, while Peverley rejoins the team after taking a short leave to attend to personal matters in Boston.

Nonetheless, both are eager to get back on the ice.

"It's always tough to have to watch your team play, but I'm excited to be back in the lineup and back in the game again," Marchand said.

Peverley expressed the same enthusiasm, and said he was excited to be around his team again.

But sitting out isn't so bad when you can learn by watching the game from up top, or in Peverley's case, the television.

"Basically I tried to watch the game and see the areas of the game where I can improve" Marchand said. "You see that sometimes you might have more time than you think, where the turnovers cost your team and where teams get an opportunity to start something and that's definitely the blue line."

Peverley said that watching the game gave him a different perspective on the pace of the game.

"It's a lot different watching the game on TV – you can tell Tampa definitely brought their energy," he said. "We have guys that can skate too so [we need] everybody skating, it's not just one or two guys."

For Marchand, he said that the suspension lingers in the back of his mind, but once he steps on the ice he just plays his game.

"The game happens so quick that you really don't have time to think about that stuff," Marchand said. "But before the games, you have to think about how you can play and that can creep into your mind a little bit."

After this morning's skate, it appears that Marchand's and Peverley's return will restore order to the Chris Kelly line. Marchand will likely take his spot on Patrice Bergeron's line, moving Benoit Pouliot back to Kelly's line along with Peverley.

Kelly said just assuming that things will fit into place isn't the right approach and the line will have to work hard to get back in sync.

"We got a few guys back in the lineup and things will happen" Kelly said. "That's the mindset you take, and it might take longer than you hope but if you realize these guys are an important part of the team, but we have to work as well, the results will happen sooner than later."
