BostonBruins.com -- According to Head Coach Claude Julien, B's captain Zdeno Chara suffered a lower-body injury, but little else is known about the defenseman's condition after he left in the second period of the B's 5-3 victory over the Blue Jackets on Saturday night in Columbus."I didn't find out whether it's minor, major, anything," said Julien as his team prepared to return to Boston. "That's just what I was told after the third.
"I haven't even seen him yet."
Chara, who played only 13:27, hadn't been seen since he left the ice after a collision in front of the Boston net.
"Whether he'll be in next game, we're not quite sure," said Julien of his all-star defenseman who scored Boston's third goal at :58 of the middle session.
"It's hard to comment on that until I know the severity," added Julien. "Throughout the season, you're going to have some injuries, and you're going to have to live with them...no matter what happens."
As such, Julien appreciated his team's resilience while missing their all-world blueliner.
"Tied 3-3, and without him, we won it, so you've got to credit the team for that effort," said Julien. "Five games in eight nights, and our group is a little tired.
"We just had to battle through it, and I thought our guys did a great job of that."
