Seguin Named NHL's Weekly First Star

BOSTON, MA – The NHL announced today that Tyler Seguin has been named the NHL’s First Star of the Week, for the week ending November 13. Detroit’s Jimmy Howard was named the Second Star while Jonathan Towes of Chicago was named the Third Star.
In three games during the week, the 19-year-old Seguin had four goals and two assists and finished plus-4. He currently has goals in four straight games and points in six straight. Seguin leads the Bruins in goals (11, tied for 2nd in NHL), points (20, 4th overall in NHL) and leads the entire NHL in plus/minus (+14). He has matched his total goal output from all of last season in just 15 games.
The Boston Bruins Foundation will make a $1,000 donation to the charity of Seguin’s choice.
The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
