Caron Assigned to Providence

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned forward Jordan Caron to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League).

Caron has skated in four games this season for Boston and averaged 9:03 of ice time. He was a healthy scratch in Boston’s last two contests. For his career, the 20-year-old has appeared in 27 games for the Bruins with 3-4=7 totals and six penalty minutes.

He was originally drafted by the Bruins in the first round (25th overall) of the 2009 NHL Entry Draft.

The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
