Bartkowski Assigned to P-Bruins

BOSTON, MA – Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has assigned defenseman Matt Bartkowski to the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League). Bartkowski skated in three games this season for Boston, averaging 6:07 of ice time. For his career, the 23-year-old has played in nine NHL games and has registered four penalty minutes.
The native of Pittsburgh, PA was acquired by Boston from Florida with Dennis Seidenberg for Byron Bitz, Craig Weller and Tampa Bay’s second round draft pick in 2010 on March 3, 2010. He was originally drafted by the Panthers in the seventh round (190th overall) of the 2008 NHL Entry Draft.
The 2011-2012 Boston Bruins season is presented by the Massachusetts State Lottery.
