Campers to Make Community Appearances
BOSTON, MA -- As part of their fifth annual Development Camp, Boston Bruins prospects will be taking part in a variety of community activities on Sunday, July 10, 2011 between 3:00 p.m. – 5:00 p.m.

The first group of Bruins prospects will provide youth hockey players with on-ice instruction followed by a 40-minute non-check scrimmage. The skate will take place at the Cronin Arena (850 Revere Beach Parkway, Revere, MA 02151), courtesy of FMC Ice. The participating Bruins prospects include: Anthony Camara, Craig Cunningham, Brian Ferlin, Justin Florek, Dougie Hamilton, Brett Olson, Ben Sexton, Ryan Spooner and Zach Trotman.

The second group of Bruins prospects will head to Cradles to Crayons  (155 N. Beacon Street, Brighton, MA  02135), where they will assist in sorting through items to be distributed by Cradles to Crayons. The participating prospects include: Marc Cantin, Zane Gothberg, Michael Hutchinson, Josh Jooris, Jared Knight, Rob O’Gara and David Warsofsky. Cradles to Crayons strives to provide children up to age 12 living in homeless and low-income situations with the essentials they need to feel safe, warm, ready to learn and valued.

To kick off the Boston Bruins Summer Reading Program “When You Read You Score”, presented by EBSCO Publishing, the final group of Bruins prospects will be at the Stevens Memorial Library (345 Main Street, North Andover, MA 01845). The prospects will be joined by local children, and will be participating in activities with children that are native to the rookies’ home country. The participating Bruins prospects include: Ryan Button, Tommy Cross, Alexander Fallstrom, Alexander Khokhlachev, Tyler Randell, Steven Spinell and Lars Volden.

The Bruins Summer Reading Program "When You Read You Score," in conjunction with the Massachusetts Board of Library Commissioners, estimates that 90,000 children across Massachusetts will participate in the summer reading program themed “ One World, Many Stories.”

The fifth annual Boston Bruins Development Camp will be held July 7 - July 11 at Ristuccia Arena in Wilmington, MA.
