Bruins to Honor Bob Wilson
BOSTON, MA - The Boston Bruins will honor Bruins legendary radio personality, Bob Wilson, on Saturday, March 26 during the Bruins/Rangers game at the TD Garden (100 Legends Way, Boston, MA 02114.)

Prior to the start of the game, at approximately 11:30 a.m., the Bruins will dedicate their home radio broadcast booth to Wilson by renaming it the "Bob Wilson Radio Booth." The Bruins will also install a silver microphone encased in a black and gold frame on the TD Garden’s level 9 façade beneath the home radio broadcast booth, which will permanently displayed, similar to the microphone that already exists for Bruins legendary TV broadcaster, the late Fred Cusick.

Following the dedication, the Bruins will honor Wilson on-ice where he will drop the ceremonial first puck. He will then head up to his newly dedicated radio booth to serve as 98.5 The Sports Hub's first intermission guest commentator alongside current play-by-play announcer Dave Goucher and color analyst Bob Beers.  Wilson will also be a special guest on 98.5 The Sports Hub's "Felger and Massarotti" show on Thursday, March 24 at 2:40 p.m.

Wilson, of Arlington, MA, served as the voice of the Bruins for 25 years before retiring in 1995. In 1987, Wilson received the Foster Hewitt Memorial Award, which was presented by Hockey Hall of Fame and chosen by the NHL Broadcasters Association. He was also inducted into the Massachusetts Broadcasters Hall of Fame in 2007. Wilson celebrated his 82nd birthday on March 9, 2011.
