Bergeron Breaks Down Buffalo
BUFFALO - Bruins assistant captain Patrice Bergeron doesn't look at the Sabres and see the last place team in the Northeast Division.

He sees a team that will be seeking retribution from Boston.

"I think they're going to...remember what happened," said Bergeron in reference to the B's first round playoff victory over Buffalo last spring.

"They'll want to erase that and look forward for this year, so I'm sure they're going to wait for us and they're going to be ready for us."

Like his head coach Claude Julien, Bergeron remembers tough games versus the Sabres.

"They're a good team," said Bergeron. "They're fast. It was tough to beat them last year and it's going to be the same this year.

"It's tough to play in their building as well, because their fans are loud."

Bergeron also believes Buffalo will up the intensity.

"I mean, they always do," he said. "I feel they always play desperate.

"They always play hard.

"They're intense. They want that puck and...we need to battle for those loose pucks, because they're fast."

And of course, there's always Buffalo's last line of defense -- Ryan Miller.

"Miller, he's just making all those great saves," said Bergeron. "He's a great goalie.

"So it's a great team that we're facing."

The B's are a pretty great team at the moment, too. They find themselves in second place in the Northeast with a 6-2-0 record. But that hasn't stopped the B's coaching staff from moving personnel around the lines.

Tonight, Mark Recchi should join Bergeron's "gold" line.

"Like I said, the intensity, the character it’s been giving him success and
that’s why he’s going to be Hall of Fame," said Bergeron of Recchi. "He’s so good and he’s still keeping up with us.

"You can’t tell that he’s 43 years old.

"[And] his experience, you know, I think that is what has been helping me the most, and I think that’s what’s going to help Jordan [Caron] as well," he said.
