Horton, Seguin Throw Out First Pitch at Fenway
The new B's took the mound at Fenway Park on Tuesday night.
Both Bruins threw out a ceremonial first pitch at before the 7:10 game Red Sox against the Tampa Bay Rays.
"It went pretty good I thought," said Horton when asked about his first major league pitch. "You know, I threw it a little bit high, but luckily he made a jump and caught it so it didn’t look too bad."
"Tyler, he was kind of making me a little nervous," joked Horton after the fact.
Seguin also had a good first pitch.
"I think I got it right down the pipe," said Seguin. "I really just wanted to get it close and not bounce it."
"Horton said he was coming in nice and easy and have fun with it and I made him a little nervous - so sorry about that," said Seguin to Horton.
It was a fun night for the guys as the got to experience Boston sports-pride first hand.
"They know my name here and you can see how great of a fan base there is here with all sports including hockey," said a smiling Seguin. "Hopefully I can make this team and earn my spot and just could be a tremendous season and they have a great atmosphere."
Horton added, "It’s not something you see everyday and, you know, just to be here and see everything it’s an amazing feeling."
