Bruins Week Ahead: 12\/18-12\/25
THE BOSTON BRUINS WEEK AHEAD
December 18 – December 25

THIS WEEK’S NEWS, NOTES AND NUMBERS:
PAST AND PRESENT: While the Bruins of the past took to the ice at Fenway Park in Boston Friday morning, the Bruins of the present were in Chicago preparing to take on the Blackhawks Friday night in game one of a three-game-in-four-days road trip. The current B’s will make stops in Chicago, Toronto and Ottawa before one final home game before the holiday break when they host the Thrashers for the first time in 09-10 on Wednesday, December 23.

STUART SIDELINED; MCQUAID, WOZNIEWSKI RECALLED: Mark Stuart will have his ironman streak snapped at 196 regular season games tonight after suffering a broken sternum in the Bruins/Flyers game on Monday. Stuart skated in all 32 games to date this season and had not missed a game since breaking into the NHL on a full-time basis at the start of the 2007-08 season.

To fill the void on the blueline, the Bruins recalled Adam McQuaid and Andy Wozniewski. Both players are on the team’s road trip and could make their Bruins debuts. This was the first professional recall for McQuaid, while Wozniewski is a veteran of 77 NHL games with the Maple Leafs and Blues.

PLAY ALONGSIDE NEELY, O’REILLY, KIEFER SUTHERLAND IN THE AT&T LEGENDS CLASSIC: Fans can bid on a roster spot in the AT&T Legends Classic Friday night during the Bruins/Blackhawks telecast, beginning with W.B. Mason Bruins Face-Off LIVE at 8:00 p.m. ET. The winner will be announced following the conclusion of the game during Bruins Overtime LIVE presented by AceTicket.com.  For the full list of celebrities and Bruins alum participating – and ticket information – visit BostonBruins.com.
