One more tuneup before Thursday...
1:15 p.m.
Julien on Wideman's availability for Thursday: "I'll put him as questionable, but I am not writing him off."

11:53 a.m.
Dennis Wideman hit the ice after the regular session and is skating with John Whitesides.

I'm sure we'll get an update from Coach Julien in a few minutes.

11:00 a.m.
Tuukka Rask made yet another gorgeous sequence of saves here at Wilmington. With two forwards in front of him, he stopped one shot to his right by diving and making a glove stop, then recovered to stop a shot off the rebound with the paddle of his stick.

Nice.

10:50 a.m.
Derek Morris is on the ice. Dennis Wideman is not.

Boston Bruins head coach Claude Julien and his players continued their tune up on Tuesday, looking to increase their net front presence and review their overall skill set.

"[We] just touched up on everything, I guess," said Julien. "[Tuesday's practice] was again about finishing around the net.

"We did a little bit of skill stuff and the other part [as] always is a little bit of battle [drilling].

"When you’ve got three days you can pretty much cover most of the things that you want to cover," he said.

So forecheck, net front presence and physical play -- sounds as if the Bruins are guarding against a letdown on Thursday. No?

"Everything is a mindset," he said. "If you allow yourself to drift or you allow yourself to go become nonchalant if you don’t keep your focus.

"That’s something that really has nothing to do with really the skating part of it. It’s the mental part of the game and this is where you’ve got to stay sharp and be strong and then when we play them again we basically have to have the same mindset we had before the last game.

"We've got to be ready.

"They came in here and lost seven-to-two, do you think they’re going to come in here and do the same thing? I think they’re going to want to bounce back like we did from our shellacking in Montreal so we should expect an even tougher team on Thursday."

As far as the B's injury situation, there was somewhat positive news on the Derek Morris & Dennis Wideman front.

"It’s day-to-day. [Wideman skated on his own] out there and if everything goes well, you’ve got a chance to see him in practice with our team tomorrow," said Julien. "Again I’m not going to say it’s one hundred percent, but it’s certainly not fifty percent.
"So it’s one of those things we’ll see as the days go on here.

"Morris is going to be on the ice [Wednesday]."
