5:20 p.m.
"I am really happy to be here right now," said Lefebvre when he spoke to the media earlier. "I just got a call last night and I found my way here."

When he spoke, Lefebvre didn't know if he was going to play, but nevertheless was excited to be with the big club.

He last played in the NHL three years ago.

"I didn't talk to coach, yet," said the forward. "I just got here five minutes ago.

"I am going to talk to Claude, soon."

"It's been a while, so it's good to be back," he said.

Lefebvre was praised for an excellent training camp; a camp that no doubt helped him earn this game with the Boston Bruins.

"That's what matters, I am here now," he said. "I felt good in camp and my first goal was to earn a contract, obviously.

"But I feel good, yah."

He'll feel even better when the puck drops.

4:58 p.m.
Okay, walking in the the hall I have run into Tim Thomas, Sean Burke and Grant Fuhr.

If Georges Vezina himself walked around the corner I would not be shocked.

4:45 p.m.
When in Phoenix, and happen to be in the Media Lounge, one must try the doughnut bread pudding.

Just saying...

4:30 p.m.
I was able to speak to Marc Savard before the Bruins went to their meetings.

Savard is ALWAYS one of the first players in the locker room and today was no different.

But perhaps #91 enjoyed this afternoon just a bit more after his two-goal performance last night

"Like I've said, I don't know how long I am going to play the game," he said. "So, I want to enjoy this for as long as I can play.

"I think I take that into my mind every time I play. Go out there, have fun and try to work as hard as you can.

"Every time I come to the rink I have a good time," he said.

And last night?

"Yah, I felt good last night, but I think it was the whole team," he said. "We all felt good and we all played good.

"We rolled four lines and were successful that way. I think we looked for a good...defensive game and that's why the reason why we had so many chances and played well," he said.

4:26 p.m.
"[Milan Lucic] has a broken finger and we're not 100% sure of the severity," said Julien. "We'll be evaluating with our own doctors when we get back [to Boston].

"We'll probably have more news at the beginning of the week."

Julien explained that the injury to Lucic occurred when he collided with Robidas in the second period during last night's game with Dallas.

Lucic played in the third, but the Bruins held him back toward the end of the stanza.

So, as reported, the Bruins will play Guillaume Lefebvre, who left Boston this morning at 10:00 a.m. and has arrived here in Boston in time for this evening's tilt.

"[Lefebvre] brings toughness," said Julien. "Obviously, We've lost some toughness in Luch.

"He brings toughness. And during those exhibition games he showed that he was a guy you could rely on that wasn't going to be costly or cost you goals.

"He's a pretty dependable guy, so we brought him up for that reason," he said.

4:04 p.m.
Here is what we know:
Tim Thomas will play. Milan Lucic, who has a broken finger, will not. Lefebvre will play.

There will be some swapping of the lines involving Thornton and Wheeler, possibly.

1:38 p.m.

Still no word about tonight's goalie or who might/or might not be playing. However, if Lefebvre is in the lineup, he will wear #92.

12:30 p.m. (Phoenix time)

I've learned that the club has recalled forward Guillaume Lefebvre on an emergency basis from the Providence Bruins.

Lefebvre is traveling to Phoenix today and is expected to be available for tonight’s game against the Coyotes.
