DID YOU MISS US?: The Bruins return to action this Saturday as their 2009 Training Camp officially opens with physicals and off-ice testing. The team will hit the ice for the first time on Sunday, September 13 at 10:00 a.m. at the TD Garden. Media availability and schedule information can be found below and on BostonBruins.com.

FOLLOW WHEELS:  Blake Wheeler will begin “tweeting” under the name “NHLBruins” on Twitter once training camp begins. Follow Wheeler to hear the second year pro’s musings about life on and off the ice.

54-MAN ROSTER UNVEILED: General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced the 54-man roster for the team’s ’09 Training Camp on Thursday.

BREAKFAST WITH THE B’S: The Bruins will celebrate the opening of the club’s 2009-2010 campaign by offering fans free breakfast, courtesy of TD Bank, as part of the first full day of 2009 Bruins Training Camp on Sunday, September 13 at TD Garden.  On Sunday, the first day of official on-ice work for the team, fans will have access to two practice sessions beginning at 10:00 a.m. and 12:30 p.m., free of charge.  Doors will open at 9:30 a.m. and breakfast, including breakfast sandwiches, fruit, yogurt, coffee and juice, will be served on a first-come, first-served basis. 

EQUIPMENT SALE: In conjunction with the open training camp sessions, Bruins fans will have the opportunity to purchase equipment used by Bruins players from past and present on Sunday as well.  Items that will be available include skates, socks, pads and helmets, among others.  A portion of the proceeds will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation. The used equipment sale will begin at 8:30 a.m. for Bruins season ticket holders and 9:30 a.m. for the general public.

MONDAY’S SESSION IS OPEN TO THE PUBLIC: Please note that Monday’s training camp practices at the TD Garden will be open to the public. Group B will practice at 10:00 a.m. while Group A will practice at 12:30.

“STATE OF THE BRUINS”: The club will hold their annual “State of the Bruins” Town Hall Meeting on Thursday, September 17 at the TD Garden. Bruins season ticket holders and premium ticket holders wishing to attend should log on to their ticket holder account and print their “State of the Bruins” tickets by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, September 14. This will be a ticketed event, as “State of the Bruins” tickets will be scanned at the TD Garden turnstiles. Any questions can be directed to the Bruins Fan Relations Department at 617.624.BEAR (2327). 

98.5 THE SPORTS HUB: The Bruins flagship radio station, 98.5 The Sports Hub, will broadcast all of the team’s preseason games live, with Dave Goucher handling the play by play duties and Bob Beers the color.
