Team Canada\'s Camp Begins Today
12:27 p.m.
The rosters for Canada's Olympic Camp are up.

11:37 p.m.

Lucic captained Team Canada's team at 2007's Super Series vs. Russia.
This morning the 46 players invited to Team Canada’s Olympic Orientation Camp, including our own Milan Lucic, will arrive in Calgary.

When I talked to Milan a few days ago, he was cautiously excited about the possibility of playing with Team Canada in the Olympics.

“I think you’ve got to keep it in the back of your head cause the most important thing going into the season is your NHL team,” said Lucic via cell. “Obviously, when I got the call I was really, really excited.

“I had a big smile on my face, especially [because of] the dream of being in the Olympics…in your home town.”

Lucic said that being a part of Team Canada was not consistently on his mind.

“I didn’t really think too much about it before that,” he admitted. “I heard guys in the media talking about [my] getting the call.

“But it wasn’t going to make me change how I was going to work out thru the summer.”

That said, Lucic said he is keeping it simple as he prepared for the camp.

“It's a huge honor for me and [I hope to] accomplish another goal,” he said.  “I’m going to go out there and make the most of it and have some fun.”

Per HockeyCanada.com, the group of 46 players will be divided into red and white rosters and all on-ice sessions will be at the Pengrowth Saddledome in Calgary.
