Comparing '07, '08 and '09
Boston Bruins Director of Hockey Operations and Player Development, Don Sweeney, was asked to compare this year's campers to the two previous years' skaters.

"I haven't really thought of it much in [terms of] rating," said Sweeney. "They've come really, really prepared to work hard and dive right in.

"But really, all the groups, I think, have done that and done what we've asked them to do."

Sweeney does think very highly of the current class.

"I like the flavor of this overall group," he said. "Some of the guys have now been here a couple of years and we've seen a progression.

'Maybe why I'm leaning toward [them]."

Check out the rest of Sweeney's Day 4 presser here.

David Krejci: Role Model

One smiling face that has been around the rink recently is that of David Krejci.

The young center, who recently re-upped with the B's, has stayed in Boston for rehab and has also made frequent appearances at Ristuccia Arena during Dev Camp while he works with the trainers.

That's probably okay with Don Sweeney. Speaking about the development of Zach Hamill, Sweeney said,"David’s a good benchmark for Zach to have a person to remodel himself after.

"David’s put on a lot of strength from the time he’s been on the Boston Bruins and you see that on the ice.

"He went through a period of time a few years ago where he had to go back down, find his game a little bit, and adjust to the pace a little bit," he said.

And it's not unusual for those things to happen.

"All young players probably go through it to a degree," said Sweeney. "So, Zach will find his way and that’s the beauty of coming to camps like this...[getting] a clear understanding of what you need to do to fill in the gaps."
