BOSTON, MA - The entire 2008-2009 Boston Bruins roster, Bruins alumni, coaching staff and management will be hitting the links at the 6th annual Boston Bruins Foundation Golf Tournament on Tuesday, September 8, at The International (159 Ballville Road, Bolton, MA 01740-1227). Registration begins at 11:00 a.m. with a shotgun start at 1:00 p.m.

Bruins fans and fellow golfers will play 18 holes at one of the most beautiful and exclusive private golf courses in New England. Each participating foursome will be joined a member of the Bruins organization including Patrice Bergeron, Zdeno Chara, Milan Lucic, Michael Ryder, Tim Thomas,and Blake Wheeler, as well as scratch-golfer Marc Savard. Foursomes cost $5,000 and a 20% discount applies for anyone that participated last year. In addition, the 19th hole will feature silent and live auctions, raffles and an all-star dinner.

"We are really looking forward to the 6th annual Boston Bruins Golf Tournament. The event is a great kick-off to the upcoming season and this year we are moving it to The International, one of the premiere private facilities in New England," said the Director of Development for the Boston Bruins Foundation,Bob Sweeney. "It gives us a chance to bring all of the current players together with the alumni and allows us to interact with some of our biggest supporters throughout the season."

All of the proceeds from the Boston Bruins 6th annual Golf Tournament will benefit the Boston Bruins Foundation and the Boston Bruins Alumni Association. Participation and support will help make it possible for both foundations to assist various childrens charitable organizations. To date, the five previous Boston Bruins golf tournament have raised over $690,000.
