If it ain\'t broke don\'t fix it...
BOSTON, MA - You don’t change what works well, and for the Boston Bruins – with the exception of maybe getting rid of whatever tiny bit of rust they claim there was in Friday’s game – that means there won’t be much to change for tonight’s second game against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Krejci
“We just gotta make sure we’re going to play our game and do all the right things,” said David Krejci, “and if we do them, we’ll be fine.”

“All the right things” means, essentially, playing a replay of the second and third period of Game 1, including playing to the final whistle, even with a three-goal lead.

“We knew before this series that they scored a few goals against Jersey last-second, basically,” said Krejci.  “So we knew when we had to lead 3-1 or even 4-1, you don’t want to [let your guard down] – keep the momentum for the next game and keep battling, keep playing the system.”

It also means staying out of the box. On Friday, the Bruins kept the ‘Canes off the power play and had four man-advantages themselves.

“We want to stay out of the box for sure, that’s our goal,” said David Krejci.  “We don’t want to get to any stuff after the whistle [because] you don’t play hockey after the whistle.”

And not changing what works means that the Blake Wheeler – David Krejci – Michael Ryder line will be back together.  The trio played together for a majority of the regular-season games with much success and were a factor in two of the four Boston goals on Thursday night.

“We’ve had a lot of chemistry all year,” said Wheeler.  “We’ve played well together, and I’ve enjoyed playing with Thorty [Shawn Thornton] and [Stephane Yelle] – they’ve been great mentors my first few playoff games.

“I’ve played with those guys [Krejci and Ryder] I don’t know how many games this year, but more often than not, and we’ve definitely been playing well together and read off each other well, and it’s nice to know where the other guys are without even looking up.

“They make the game pretty simple out there, and you just have to jump in the holes for them,” he said.
