Still Black & Gold
Coach Julien did not change his stripes after reviewing the final minutes of yesterday's action.

"I had a look at it even before I [met with the press] yesterday," said Julien. "I'm not changing my stance.

"Our concentration is just to play the game and move on.

"It's as simple as that," he said.

After all, it is hockey.

"Yah, there'll be bumps and bruises in this series like there was last year," said the coach. "I don't see that changing at all."

It looks like everyone besides Andrew Ference is on the ice for the B's. That's good news, considering some of the scrums and hitting that happened last night.

A nice stat thrown around "The Birds Nest" was this note by La Presse's Francois Gagnon:
Since the lockout, when Andrei Markov is not in the lineup, the Habs are 6-16-2.

Tuff Stuff: No Big Deal

Don't complain to Claude Julien about any extracurricular activities after the B's win on Thursday.

He's not hearing it.

"I’m one of those guys that understands that it’s playoffs, there’s a lot of emotion, there may be frustration and stuff like that," said Julien. "It’s part of the game.

"I think it’s important for us to be smart, react properly."

And according to Julien Lucic did just that.

"[Milan] Lucic went in there, and his first priority was he was going to protect Phil Kessel," said Julien. "But I’m not going to stand here and whine about that stuff because that’s what playoff hockey’s all about.

"You stand tall for your team, and you stand up for each other, and that’s what they did.

"[The Habs] were trying to send a message, even in the last 15 seconds," continued Julien. "But as far as I’m concerned, to me, that’s just playoff hockey."
