Bruins Recall Defenseman Matt Lashoff
Boston, MA - Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced Monday that the team has recalled defenseman Matt Lashoff from the Providence Bruins (American Hockey League) on an emergency basis.  Lashoff traveled with the Boston Bruins to Toronto and will be available for Tuesday night's game against the Maple Leafs. 

This season, Lashoff has played in 14 games for Boston tallying one goal and two assists.  He was most recently recalled by the Bruins on March 8 and played five games in this stint with Boston.  His last game with the NHL club came on March 16, in a 2-1 shootout loss to the Capitals in Washington, DC before being assigned on March 20. 

While with Providence this season, Lashoff has played in 55 games, tallying eight goals and 27 assists.  He is also a plus-10 on the season. 

The 21-year-old East Greenbush, NY, native made his NHL debut on October 26, 2006 against the Montreal Canadiens and scored his first point (assist) on November 2, 2006 against the Buffalo Sabres.  Lashoff was the Bruins' first pick, 22nd overall, in the 2005 NHL Entry Draft.
