St. Louis vs. Boston

11:05 a.m.
It's a scramble this morning -- no morning skate and no scheduled interviews.

HOWEVER, we were able to interview Matt Lashoff and he said that he will be playing. Since he was called up yesterday, ostensibly for Andrew Alberts, there should be at least on other defenseman not dressed. Lashoff did not know who his defense partner would be.

Off to get more...

11:23 a.m.
By more I meant talking to Brad Boyes in the hallway near the Blues Locker room.

Obviously a popular player with the fans, Boysie was extraordinarily well liked in and around the building -- as evidenced by the hugs and well-wishes he was receiving in the hallway.

Asked if he kept tabs on the Bruins, Boyes explained that he didn't necessarily follow every game, but certainly kept an eye on, and in touch with, friends on the team.

"I don't pay attention, too much, except for my friends," he said, before singling out Patrice Bergeron. "I read something that he had turned around and is doing well."

Thinking more about the question, Boyes explained that he was also pleased that Denis Wideman was doing well for Boston.

"That's good," said Brad. "You want both sides to be happy.

"And I am definitely working on making sure St. Louis is happy."

I heard Claude Julien is going to talk. BRB.

11:46 a.m.
Aaron Ward out, broken foot. Andrew Alberts is out, headaches. Peter Schaefer, game time decision. Glen Murray is out, hip flexor. Tim Thomas is the starter. Lashoff is definitely playing.

So that leaves Thornton as a possibility...

"There are going to be some game time decisions but Lashoff will be in and Ward is out," said a serious-faced Julien. "Ward suffered a broken foot and will be out an undetermined set of time -- at least a week.

"Schaefer is going to be a game time decision and Glen Murray is out until after Christmas."

Oomph! A couple of body-blows there, my friends...

11:55 a.m.

NESN's Rob Simpson asked about the club playing 60 minutes.

"There's no doubt that that's what we are looking for...and we are looking for that through some challenging times."

12:44 p.m.
This is my guess, but I am sure that the outcome may not be the same:
Sturm-Savard-Kessel
Axelsson-Metropolit-Kobasew
Lucic-Sobotka-Schaefer
Reich-Nokelainen-Thornton
Chara-Wideman (sg) Thomas
Stuart-Ference (bg) Auld
Lashoff-Allen Go Bruins!

12:45 p.m.
More from Coach Julien. This time on Schaefer's condition...
"I don't know if it's a bruise or probably a little chip, but those things don't stop you from playing necessarily, unless the pain is too severe. He seems willing and seemed okay, and yesterday was a day off for him trying to get that food healed a little bit."

12:51 p.m.
Off to the Running Recap. See you on the flip side. Go Bruins!
