Ok folks, it's been a little while here so I got a bunch of stuff for ya. I've got a great movie to see, one not to, a great movie to buy and a few to look forward to. I'll begin with...

THE KINGDOM
Starring: Jamie Foxx, Jennifer Garner, Chris Cooper, and Jason Bateman
Directed By: Peter Berg
Theatrical Release Date: 09/28/2007
Run Time: 110 min.
Genre: Drama, Crime and Mystery
Rating: R

Synopsis:  An American forces base in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, is taken by storm and completely destroyed.  After the attacks, the country's Prince is not cooperating with American investigators in order to allow them to travel to Riyadh to do an investigation.

Strings are pulled and within 24 hrs a group of 5 US counter-terrorism investigators are sent over to assess the damage and solve what is now a huge international story.  Unannounced to the crew before arrival they soon find out the investigation will be done on the Princes' terms and they only have 5 days to investigate.

Because of the Princes' rules, they are unable to talk to any witnesses or do any of their own investigating without the Saudi Police holding their hand.  Their presence in Saudi lands is soon detected and before they know it they become the target of the next terrorist attacks causing them to be in a fight for their lives.

This movie allows you to take a look at what might be going in the world and you get some insight into what some people have to deal with day in and day out

It's filled with action, mystery and a great finale!

I would give the movie 3 stars out of 4.  Pretty good flick!

Ok... Here is a movie NOT TOO SEE!

MICHAEL CLAYTON
Starring: George Clooney, Tom Wilkinson, Tilda Swinton, Sydney Pollack,
Directed By: Tony Gilroy
Theatrical Release Date: 10/05/2007
Run Time: 120 min.
Genre: Drama, Crime and Mystery, New Release
Rating: R

Synopsis: I'm going to make this short cause it wasn't anything I would recommend.

George Clooney plays a Lawyer in a huge New York firm.  His role in the firm is to be a person that people use to "Fix" a "Problem" one of their clients may have.

Out of nowhere a rumor surfaces that UNorth (his company) is going to merge with a larger firm, but for this to happen, UNorth must first settle a multi-million dollar settlement of a class action suit.

Arthur Edens (Tom Wilkinson), a high-class lawyer for UNorth, decides to sabotage the UNorth Case with documents that prove that UNorth's resources are tainted and unsafe, thus delaying the settlement.  Clooney is put in place to make Arthur change his mind and soon finds out that Arthur is not bluffing and is on to some concrete evidence.

I won't spoil the ending for you cause it's the only good part in the movie. I would give this movie 1 star out of 4 for lack of excitement and entertainment.

The whole movie is a very long, boring story until the last 15 minutes.

On to a great buy!!!

Here it is, THE BEST MOVIE OF THE SUMMER IS HERE ON DVD.

TRANSFORMERS
Starring: Shia LaBeouf, Tyrese Gibson, Josh Duhamel, Megan Fox
Directed By: Michael Bay
DVD Release Date: 10/16/2007
Run Time: 143 min.
Genre: Action and Adventure, Science Fiction
Rating: PG-13

Synopsis: That's right moviegoers.... this is the pick of the year!

If you grew up with the cartoon and all the little action figures, you will love this movie.  The special effects, sounds, action, and excitement in this movie will blow you away.

I just picked up my own copy and have already watched it twice.  It's got it all! And for all you GUYS out there.... you might be able to trick your favorite girl into watching it with you because there is a mini love story in it.

Just kidding ladies, I am sure you like action adventures, too!

In any case, I'm going to skip the synopsis and just say you have to see it with your own eyes!

I give it 5 stars out of 4!!!!

And for some upcoming flicks to keep an eye on...

I am a huge fan of the Saw movies and Saw 4 came out last week, just in time for Halloween. This one is obviously not for kids!

Also American Gangster, starring Denzel Washington, is about a gang leader that runs a huge narcotics outfit out of New York. This movie looks like it has the potential to be one of the best of the year!

Ohhh and one more.... WE OWN THE NIGHT!  All the guys say it was great so I'll have to catch that one, as well.

That's all I got for now...

Later,
Albe.
