Tonight’s Game
The Bruins visit the Kings Friday in the only game between these teams this season and the Bruins’ first visit to Staples Center since Oct. 18, 2003. The Bruins are 1-2-0 thus far this season with a 1-2-0 record on the road. The Kings are 1-3-0 overall this season and are 1-1-0 on home ice. The Bruins are 1-2-0 thus far this season vs. both Pacific Division and Western Conference teams. The Kings are facing their first game of the season against both a Northeast Division team and an Eastern Conference opponent tonight.

Lifetime Series
The Bruins are 77-33-13-0 lifetime vs. Los Angeles with a 511-385 scoring advantage in those 123 games. Recent Bruins Games
The Bruins are 1-2-0 thus far this season, opening their 2007-08 schedule with a 4-1 loss in Dallas on Oct. 5, taking a 3-1 victory in Phoenix on Oct. 6 and dropping a 2-1 decision in Anaheim on Oct. 10.

The Kings opened their 2007-08 regular season schedule splitting a 'home-and-home' series vs. the Ducks in London, England on Sept. 29-30. They have played two games since returning to North America5-3 loss to St. Louis on Oct. 6 and a 5-1 loss in Dallas on Oct. 10.

Upcoming Bruins Games
The Bruins conclude their season-opening five-game road trip in San Jose on Oct. 13 (10:30 p.m. ET). They will return to Boston for their home opener on Oct. 18 (7:00 p.m.) and will host the NY Rangers on Oct. 20 (7:00 p.m.). All of these games are broadcast on NESN and WBZ Radio.

The Kings open a three-game home stand tonight and continue by hosting Detroit on Oct. 14 and Minnesota on Oct. 16.

Bruins 2007-08 Shootouts
The Bruins have not yet participated in a 2007-08 regular season shootout.

The Bruins participated in one shootout during the 2007 pre-season, dropping a 4-3 decision to Toronto. That shootout went seven rounds with Toronto’s Pavel Kubina scoring the only goal of the shootout session on Boston’s Tim Thomas.

Bruins 2007-08 Penalty Shots
The Bruins have not yet faced or taken a 2007-08 regular season penalty shot.

The Bruins faced one penalty shot during the 2007 pre-season with Manny Fernandez stopping Montreal’s Chris Higgins at 18:55 of the second period on Sept. 23.
