Tonight’s Game
The Bruins visit the Ducks tonight in the only game between these teams this season and the Bruins’ first visit to Anaheim since Oct. 19, 2003. The Bruins are 1-1-0 thus far this season with a 1-1-0 record on the road. The Ducks are 1-3-1 overall this season and are 1-0-0 on home ice. The Bruins are 1-1-0 thus far this season vs. both Pacific Division and Western Conference teams. The Ducks are facing their first game of the season against a Northeast Division team and are 0-1-0 this season vs. Eastern Conference opponents.

Lifetime Series
The Bruins are 10-6-2-0 lifetime vs. Anaheim with a 51-45 scoring advantage in those 18 games. The Bruins are 5-2-2-0 lifetime vs. the Ducks in Anaheim with a 24-18 scoring edge in those nine contests. They have played three road games since returning to North America with a 3-2 overtime loss in Detroit on Oct. 3, a 4-0 loss in Columbus on Oct. 5 and a 5-4 loss in Pittsburgh on Oct. 6.

Upcoming Bruins Games
The Bruins continue their season-opening five-game road trip in Los Angeles on Oct. 12 (10:30 p.m. ET) and in San Jose on Oct. 13 (10:30 p.m. ET). They will return to Boston for their home opener on Oct. 18 (7:00 p.m.). All of these games are broadcast on NESN and WBZ Radio.

Bruins Injuries
Marc Savard:  Doubtful for tonight's game with a core injury suffered Oct. 6 in Phoenix … If he misses tonight's game it will snap his consecutive games-played stretch at 166 games…His last game missed was April 3, 2004 at Tampa Bay while with Atlanta as he missed the final 17 games of the 2003-04 season with a knee strain.

Oct. 1:  Nate Thompson, Petteri Nokelainen and Matt Hunwick assigned to Providence/AHL.
Oct. 2:  Jeff Hoggan assigned to Providence/AHL).

Bruins 2007-08 Shootouts
The Bruins have not yet participated in a 2007-08 regular season shootout.

The Bruins participated in one shootout during the 2007 pre-season, dropping a 4-3 decision to Toronto. That shootout went seven rounds with Toronto’s Pavel Kubina scoring the only goal of the shootout session on Boston’s Tim Thomas.

Bruins 2007-08 Penalty Shots
The Bruins have not yet faced or taken a 2007-08 regular season penalty shot.

The Bruins faced one penalty shot during the 2007 pre-season with Manny Fernandez stopping Montreal’s Chris Higgins at 18:55 of the second period on Sept. 23.
