It was an excellent ending to an outstanding week as the Development Camp prospects left it all out on the ice this afternoon in Wilmington.
Some more info on the game, as well as reaction to the week's events will be posted over the next couple of days.
As far as this evening -- there will be a breakup dinner locally and all the guys can finally let their eyes be bigger than their stomachs. Nobody will be testing them tomorrow.
However, flights to Saskatoon and Riga probably require some discretion in terms of choice of cuisine.
Beyond dinner (which is rumored to be a Bar-B-Q) this is the beginning of the end for this chapter of Our Boys.
Again, don't forget that I will be posting wrap-up stories (and hopefully photos) in the very near future and as the season gets closer news posting in The Bear Essentials will surely be more frequent.
1:01 p.m.
With their equipment drying in the parking lot, the not so new-B's are patiently awaiting their final four-on-four game of the week, before heading to an end of camp Bar-B-Q.
There is no doubt that the favorite part of the Development Camp were these games, so I am wondering if we will see an uptick in tempo as Our Boyes don't have to leave anything in the tank for their trips home tomorrow.
Hannu Toivonen was just in -- again -- and looked really ready to return to action. He looked very healthy and strong and reported that today's on-ice session with goalie coach Bob Essensa went very well.

Connectivity problems fixed, the last day of the Bruin Development Camp moves forward.
On the ice this morning, the campers were introduced to the "upside down stick" drill, used to teach proper positioning.
Off the ice, prospect Tommy Cross has found the movie Youngblood and many of the campers are watching to see how it ends..
That was a joke, by the way...
