The National Hockey League just announced that Boston Bruins center Phil Kessel was selected as the recipient of the 2007 Bill Masterton Memorial Trophy.
The award was presented at tonight’s National Hockey League Awards Show at the Elgin Theatre in Toronto.
Kessel is the first NHL rookie to be honored with the award.
