Very Late Blog
Sorry for the late blog folks -- a lot of running around, today.

To start, and just to reiterate, Hannu Toivonen was sent down to Providence this morning. No word on if he is playing tonight.

As you might guess, beyond that transaction, there wasn’t too much to report.

Injury wise, Mark Mowers you know about (shoulder), and we learned today that Andrew Ference, who sat out a game recently with a hand injury, is questionable for tomorrow.

When asked about his roster for the final game against Ottawa, the Bruins head coach said that the team had not determined whether they needed to call anyone up.

That decision will depend on the health of his defenseman.

"Andrew Ference is at the doctor’s office," said Dave Lewis. "(He’s) just getting checked, so, if he is ok to go, we will keep the same lineup."

Today’s lines (in no particular order) were:
(Yellow) Tenkrat - Kessel - Bochenski
(White) Kalus - Savard - Donovan
(Grey) Sturm - Bergeron - Chistov
(Teal) Reich - Hoggan
(Black) Alberts, Allen, Ward, Wideman, York
(Goal) Thomas, MacDonald

Last night’s lineup looked like this:
Sturm - Bergeron - Chistov
Tenkrat - Kessel - Bochenski
Kalus - Savard - Donovan
Reich - Hoggan
Chara - Wideman (sg) Toivonen
Ference - Ward (bg) Thomas
Alberts - Allen/York

Tomorrow, Tim Thomas will start in goal.

Thoughts on Training Camp
Lewis talked about his approach to training camp next season.

Will it be different?

"Yes, I will (have a different approach), because of the knowledge of the team," said Coach. "Coming in last year it was a new experience for everybody.

"I didn’t know the players personally, except for a couple.

"And now I know Bergy. I know Marco Sturm. I know Zdeno Chara. I know Glen Murray. I know what they bring. I know what they need (in order) to improve and I know what the group needs to improve," he said.

And that knowledge gives him a head start on planning for 2007-08.

"For me, I am ahead of the curve from where I was last year," said Dave. "(That’s) as a coach and as coaches.

"And we’ve tried a couple of different systems. I think we can do some things differently, there, also, that can be a real positive to the team.

"We’ve learned a lot," said a clearly determined Coach Lewis.
