Quotes from this morning...
Bruins Head Coach, Dave Lewis
On the Minnesota Wild:
They are very similar to New Jersey and we got to the net in New Jersey, so that’s what we have to do. I’m confident we can do that.

They have Marian Gaborik, who likes to get behind you and create space. He’s such a fast and dynamic player, and we’ll certainly have to be aware of him.

On how the new players are adjusting:
I still think they’re feeling each other out, and we’re making a few changes. It does take a little bit of time to get used to new teammates and figure out and anticipate what your teammate will do. That’s part of the transition, but we’re getting better reads now.

On Chuck Kobasew:
I think he played a few more minutes than we thought he would play, and he feels comfortable. He doesn’t have all the timing or the reads yet, but I think he’ll get better each day.

On the B’s recent power play:
We did power play yesterday [in practice]. We have the same structure, so we just have to execute better. The only twist was that we put Z in front of the net. We’re trying to figure out different options. It’s a matter of individual and collective preparation and we’ll be better tonight.

Defenseman, Andrew Ference
On the B’s new defense:
The penalty kill has been fairly solid, and that’s usually the strongest indicator of defensive strength. That’s when you rely on each other so much and have to communicate. The guys are reading each other very well, and I feel very comfortable with the different guys I’ve been paired with.

On the Minnesota Wild:
They are very sound defensively and it’s hard to get good, quality shots against them. But they’re also a team that can stretch the boards out and really get some speed going. They have some extreme talent up front, so you see both sides of the game. Defensively, they know their systems from years past, and offensively they have the ability to really open the game up.

Forward, Chuck Kobasew
On the strengths of Minnesota:
They’re a very good team, and they’ve really added a lot this season. They have a lot of firepower and they take away whatever gets back to their own end.

The forwards will stretch it out. There are some creative guys, like [Marian] Gaborik who are dangerous and who you have to keep an eye on at all times.

Goaltender, Tim Thomas
On playing a team from the Western Conference:
That’s not really a problem because I am familiar with some of the guys, like [Brian] Rolston, and they have a couple of guys from Finland who I played with. They always seem to have tight games, so we’ll have to keep it close and out-patience them.

On how he handles tough losses:
It’s a team game, but I also have to do my job individually. I don’t want to throw the last game out, because I did a lot of good things. I like to build on that on a personal level and get a different result on the team level.
