Post Skate Quotes…
Defenseman, Aaron Ward
On the Bruins’ win in New Jersey:
We played a New Jersey team that, at home, is just about unbeatable. They tried to out-system us to death, but we out-waited them and were patient. We showed some maturity, and a win in New Jersey is obviously an accomplishment.

On the road ahead:
Everything that lies ahead of us is important because we are still in this race. We believe in this locker room that something is going to get done. So we have to take it seriously and really prepare ourselves in every situation.

There’s still light at the end of the tunnel, and as we win these games, the light gets bigger and bigger.

Goaltender, Tim Thomas
On this past weekend’s success:
It was paramount that we had some success this weekend. To have this success, and be right in the chase, is a big thing for us. We’re four points out of eighth place, and if we didn’t win those games, we’d be eight out. That’s a big difference. You can feel the excitement.

Our defensive zone play was good. We did a good job communicating, and figuring out who had who, and we got important goals from -- not unlikely sources-- but some guys who stepped up and made big offensive plays.

Forward, Chuck Kobasew
On the Bruins’ outlook for tonight:
Our focus now is that we have a team here to make the playoffs. Colorado stands in our way tonight, and that’s the only way we look at it. We take one game at a time.

Head Coach, Dave Lewis
On this weekend’s success:
Everybody’s aware of the importance of what we’ve put together, but there are still a lot of games left, and a lot of teams vying for the spot, so we’re going to come out and try to give ourselves a chance to win tonight. Every game is important.

We didn’t do a lot of foolish things and we protected the leads. In New Jersey we had to get in front of Marty Brodeur to at least get a puck by him, and we did. It was an emotional boost for us. Against Montreal, there were a few players who had never been in that environment before, and some of them were nervous, but they learned something from that and that’s important.

On the return of Chuck Kobasew:
He feels much better and he was checked out by the doctors and trainers, and they feel he’s 100% ready to go. I was anticipating he wouldn’t be back until the weekend. It will be exciting to see him on the ice. I’ll start him with Kessel and Bochenski.

I’ll ease him in and get him comfortable with playing. He hasn’t played for almost six weeks, so he’ll have some rust.

He has speed, competes hard, and goes to the net. I just want to get him into the game and playing.

On Aaron Ward:
He’s a very vocal guy and communicates well throughout the locker room and on the ice. His performance has been really solid, and he loosens things up in a positive way. Environment is so important, and Aaron will help in that regard.

It’s a long season. One game or one day is not going to get him too down or too high. He has a consistent mindset.
