The Fish are Safe...
The Bruins are in Florida as we speak, no doubt recovering from their first practice in a couple of days.

Yesterday, in an effort to rest the skaters, promote some team unity and show the B’s dads (and family) a good time, the team commandeered (nautical term) the S.S. Friendly Fisherman, a 72-foot boat, and took to the waters off of Tampa.

The weather was beautiful, the sea was calm, there was no humidity -- but there were no fish to be had.

Andrew Alberts’ dad, Dale, had the lone notable catch by reeling in a Red Snapper.

Others tried, and failed, to bring in anything else worth noting.

All-in-all, however, the Bruins had an outstanding time. And the fun continues later today...

Tonight, after some golf, the team will be meeting at a restaurant for some good food and hockey talk. Rumor has it that the fathers will be "required" to tell their favorite hockey story about their sons after the meal.

Oh to be a fly on the wall.
