Nassau Coliseum here we come...
Just got in from Wilmington where the Bruins practiced, showered, dressed and took off (literally and figuratively) for Long Island. They were supposed to have left yesterday, but Mother Nature had other plans.

For those of you outside the New England area, there was a pretty big storm in our neck of the woods on Wednesday.

And there were mixed reactions from Our Boys as to whether the weather would affect their play -- but most believed that the Bruins would just roll with the change in schedule.

"It affected the card game (play) yesterday," said the weathered hockey veteran, Jason York. "We played for four hours instead of one."

The Bruins waited on their flight for four hours yesterday, to no avail.

"It doesn’t bother me, too much," he said. "For some guys, it might throw them off a little bit, because they like to get in the night before, and I do, too, but there’s nothing you can do about it."

The bottom line?

"You don’t want to use (the weather) as an excuse. You just kind of say ’it happened’ and move on," said York.

Bobby Allen, a veteran of the minor league hockey wars, and their erratic travel, had similar sentiments.

"It was a taxing day, but there are a lot worse things to go through in the world than have to sit in the plane for a few hours," said Allen. "So, it was a little bit of an inconvenience, but there is no big deal."

"You know, we got a good night’s rest last night and it’s a quick trip down there today, so I think we’ll be fine."

The Bruins are probably landing as we speak, so there’ll be more here, later.
