News from the road
Tim Thomas will start in goal tonight versus the Capitals.

The Black & Gold "Tank" snapped a three-game losing stretch with a 4-3 overtime win in Carolina on Feb. 3.

Thomas has played in the last five straight games (1-3-0, one no decision in a relief appearance) and is 7-8-1 in his last 16 starts.

In 84 NHL games with Boston, Thomas has 35-30-13 docket, a 3.02 goals against average and a .909 save percentage -- those numbers include is 38 game call up last season (12-13-10, 2.77, .917) and a 4 game call up in 2002-03 (3-1-0, 3.00, .907).

Having played in 42 of Boston’s 51 games this season, Thomas is 20-16-3, with a 3.27 GAA, and a .902 save percentage.

Thomas is ninth in the league in saves, with 1126.

Muzz is fuzz(y) for tonight
Having left practice early yesterday, Boston’s Glen "Muzz" Murray is questionable for tonight.

Should he not dress for the B’s against Washington, that would be quite a blow to the Black & Gold offense as the veteran sniper has a five-game point streak in progress and has a 4-2-6 line in that span.

Murray also leads the team with 26 goals and adds 17 assists for 43 points -- that’s good for third on the team in scoring.
