Bruins Recall Krejci; Place Hoggan on Waivers
BOSTON, MA -- Boston Bruins General Manager Peter Chiarelli announced today that the club has recalled center David Krejci from the Providence Bruins of the American Hockey League (AHL), and placed left-winger Jeff Hoggan on waivers for assignment. If Hoggan clears waivers, he will be assigned to Providence.

Krejci, who is 20 years old and from Sternderk, Czech Republic, was selected in the second round (63rd overall) of the 2004 NHL Entry Draft. This is Krejci’s first season in Providence after spending the previous two years playing for Gatineau Olympiques of the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League (QMJHL). While with Providence this season, Krejci has scored 15 goals and registered 29 assists in 44 games played.

Krejci has traveled to Buffalo and joined the team for tonight’s game against the Sabres.

Hoggan, a 28-year old first year Bruin, has spent the majority of the season in Boston playing 32 games and tallying two assists. He has also played in four games for Providence this season, notching three assists.

Last year, in his first full NHL season, Hoggan played 52 games for St. Louis scoring two goals and recording six assists.

The Black and Gold return to action tonight when the battle the Sabres in Buffalo at 7:00 p.m. ET.
