Today’s Game...
The Bruins are in Ottawa this afternoon ready to begin the de facto second half on a positive note when they take on the streaking Senators at Scotiabank Place.

Yesterday, the Bruins reflected on what was necessary to achieve that positive start.

"This is a division game," said Wayne Primeau. "It’s huge.

"They are a team that’s battling for position for the playoffs (like us) and they know the importance just like we do. So, it’s going to be an important game for us and we all, here in the dressing room, need to know that this is an important start for the last part of the season."

Brad Boyes agrees, and said the club is ready to go.

"(The attitude) has been good so far," said Boyes. "We’re coming back a lot more rested now after the break.

"We had some good time away and it’s good.

"We’re looking forward to (playing) Ottawa and taking a couple of points from them as they did in our building last game," he said.

One of the keys to today’s game is stopping the vaunted offence of Ottawa.

"You know, the guys are so fast, we just have to play a solid positional game," said Andrew Alberts from a defenseman’s point of view. "Like always, against these guys, you can’t be running around -- that causes turnovers.

"You have to make smart plays, get the pucks deep and that will make it easier to play offense in their zone."

What’s the bottom line Coach Dave?

"They’ve got guys…who are playing like all-stars," said Bruins head coach Dave Lewis of Ottawa. "We’ve got lots to contend with.

"(But) it doesn’t matter what city you’re going in to. (Our players) know that we are not in the (playoff) mix.

"We have to get into the mix," said Coach.
