And one more thing…
With all the excitement this past weekend I was remiss in talking about the Lester Family’s Christmas Lights.

This is the 10th year that the Lester Family of 220 Cabot Road in Tewksbury, Massachusetts has decorated their home for the holiday season.

Using approximately 150,000-175,000 lights, the Lester’s choose to spread holiday spirit through an impressive light display at their home. Over the years, the Lester family has been able to use their light display to collect donations for local charities in New England.

This year, the Lester family has dedicated all donations made at their light show to the Travis Roy Foundation to help others move forward. It was established in 1997 by Travis Roy to help spinal cord injury survivors, like himself, as well as to promote research and education on spinal cord injuries.

The Travis Roy Foundation raises money to help others move forward through grants to improve personal mobility and grants to further research. Travis and the foundation also work to encourage education on the subject of spinal cord injuries.

Last weekend Ray Bourque presented a donation check to the Travis Roy Foundation from his RB 77 stay MAD clothing line’s “Hockey Heroes” program.

B’s goalie Tim Thomas was also a recent visitor.

SO, if you are looking for something to do between Bruins home games, drive by to see the Lester’s lights and throw some change in the donation bin.

I went to Boston University with Travis and would love it if a bunch of Bish’s Blog readers followed the lead of Ray and Tim and stopped by the Lester’s.

Thanks, in advance, guys!
